We offer training services and behavioral training for dogs of all ages. Our lodging manager, Michele, has over 20 years’ experience of training and working with dogs. She has been a Certified Canine Good Citizen Evaluator for the past 14 years and has based her training on Basic Obedience through the AKC Canine Good Citizen Training Guidelines. The goal of all training services offered is to teach door manners, meal-time manners, space and public manners and any behavioral issues seen.
We have a few different options for dog training. They include:
Behavioral and Training Consultation: Michele will work with you to review basic puppy training and to establish boundaries and expectations. With each session, the goal is to progress and add new training techniques. These sessions can be done at home or at the clinic.
7-Day Board and Train: Your dog will board at the clinic for 7 days and travel home with Michele during evening hours to work on in-home training. After the initial 7 days, your dog will return home where there will be an in-home transition session with Michele and your family.
Group Sessions- Michele offers 6-week sessions for group dog training. These sessions will vary on availability of the facility and staff.
Session 1- Introduction for handler only.
Session 2-6- Hands-on training and exercises for the handler and dog.
These sessions are held at the Davison County Fairgrounds Activities Center on Tuesday evenings from 6:30pm-7:30pm.
All dogs are required to be current on all vaccinations.
The goal of all training services offered is to teach door manners, meal-time manners, space and public manners and any behavioral issues seen. Your dog will not return home fully trained but rather a good training baseline will be established that must be continued at home.
